The Backward Extensions (backbends/Purva Pratana Sthiti) and Lateral Extensions (twists/Parivrrta Sthiti) are important for developing and maintaining Yogic Balance. In this third and final day of the "Balance Series," we will focus on methods of practicing these poses for physical and emotional balance.
Afternoon Class—12:00-2:00 $20
BKS Iyengar invented and described/prescribed the uses of yoga props. This afternoon we will use them! A wonderful session of restoration will end the "Yogic Balance" Series.
At 11:30, between the 2 classes, Steve will lead a short session on "The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali". After a short introduction/discussion of their meaning and relevance, we will begin to learn and chant some of the sutras. This session is optional and open to participants of the morning or afternoon sessions, without charge.
Attend both the morning and afternoon sessions for $35
