While our signs won't be as eye-catching as this one in South Korea, a 14-month old law banning smoking in our county parks is about to be enforced. It seems that No Smoking signs must be posted before a police officer can issue a citation.
According to a Honolulu Advertiser article, popular Hilo parks will be the first to receive these signs beginning on Friday. The Big Island is even mentioned in Wikipedia under the Smoking Ban heading:
